Enter one of the following names at the player creation screen:

Then enter "1" as a jersey number, "Forward" as a position, "Right-handed", "150" as a weight. Do not edit any other attribute. Now press Triangle to exit, then sign the player as a free agent. The newly created player will have new attributes, with an overall ranking of 99.

Third Jerseys
Select the New York Rangers as the visiting team. Then at the controller selection screen, hold Square + Right.
