Successfully complete the game two times to unlock Cronos the Phoenix's Evil Laboratory stage. |
Expert Mode
Successfully complete the game twelve times to unlock the "Max Difficulty" option. |
Fight Against Uranus
Successfully complete the game three times to unlock Uranus. She resembles some kind of Minotaur. |
Human Mode
Successfully complete the game fourteen times to unlock the "Human Mode" option. |
Hyper Mode

Play As Cronos
Successfully complete the game two times to unlock Cronos the Phoenix. |
Play As Fang
Successfully complete arcade mode with all characters (including Uranus and Kohryu). Keep selecting the "Random" option in arcade mode until Fang appears. Successfully complete the game in arcade mode with Fang to unlock him permanently at the character selection screen.
Note: Fang is the third alternate costume of Yugo. |
Play As Ganesha
Successfully complete the game one time to unlock Ganesha the Elephant. |
Play As Kohryu
Play the game in arcade mode. Win four consecutive rounds. You will fight Kohryu in the next round. Defeat him, then complete arcade mode to unlock Kohryu the Iron Mole as a selectable character. |
Play As Uranus
Defeat Uranus in stage 16 of survival mode. To make this easier, play as Kohryu and enable the "Beast mode", "No walls", and "No blocking" cheats. When the "Ready?" message appears, push them to the corner of the stage and step back. When the "Fight!" message appears, do Kohryu's projectile move (Down, Down/Forward, Forward, Beast). They will fly off for a ring out.
Note: This will also unlock her stage. |
Quick Fighter And Stage Unlock
Note: This trick requires two controllers. Enter the options menu. Set the "Autosave" setting to "On" and "Team Members" to "5". Start the game in vs. team battle mode. Choose any five characters for both teams. Press Start, then select "Quit" as soon as the match begins. Select vs. team battle mode again, and repeat the same steps, immediately quitting after each match begins. Kohryu, Uranus, and Fang will eventually become unlocked as you do this. You must do this over twenty five times in order to unlock all the characters and stages.- Ganesha and Indian Palace stage: 6 times
- Cronos and Evil Lab stage: 11 times
- Kohryu: 16 times
- Uranus and Chaos Lab stage: 21 times
- Fang: 26 times

Slow Motion Mode
Successfully complete the game nine times to unlock the "Low Speed" option. |
Super Buff (DK) Mode
Successfully complete the game five times to unlock the "Super Buff" option. |
Turbo Mode
